How Tuition Point collects, uses and protects your personal information. Last updated: 12 July 2026.
Who we are
Tuition Point ("we", "us", "our") provides private tuition and mentoring across London, Buckinghamshire and the UK. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@tuitionpoint.co.uk, on 020 3576 4820, or at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
What information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, mainly through our enquiry and tutor-application forms. This can include:
- Your name and contact details (email address and phone number).
- Details about the student, such as their year group or key stage, and the subjects or goals you tell us about.
- Your preferred type of tuition (one-to-one, group, online or in person).
- If you apply to tutor: the subjects you teach and any background you share in your message.
- Anything else you include in the message field or in follow-up correspondence.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange your free consultation and assessment.
- Match a student with a suitable tutor and plan lessons.
- Consider and follow up on tutor applications.
- Keep in touch with you about the service you have asked about.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Our lawful basis
Where you contact us or apply to tutor, we process your information on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to and managing enquiries. Where a student is a child, a parent or guardian should provide the information on their behalf.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where necessary to provide the service — for example, with a tutor matched to a student. We may also use trusted service providers (such as our website host and email provider) who process information on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We will disclose information if required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, and to meet any legal or accounting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete it. If you would like your details removed sooner, please contact us.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@tuitionpoint.co.uk.
If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
